Bow Valley Chamber of Commerce launch date announced
Ringing in a new year brings excitement and reflection for business owners and individuals alike. This year looks exceptionally promising with new ventures, new business, and collaboration to create a more vibrant Canmore community.
An opportunity.
With this new year, the Bow Valley Chamber of Commerce is getting closer to becoming a reality and a dream that has actualized for me in four short months. My heart found its home when I moved to the Bow Valley in 1993. In gratitude, I want to support community initiatives and give back to our community whenever possible.
Right time, right place.
When Canmore Business and Tourism folded, I was in a position to donate my time to continue one of their events: the Conversation Café. Using these industry sector working groups, we explored the idea of having a Chamber in Canmore and the Bow Valley. These working groups were imperative in forming what the Chamber could look like and what advocacy role it could play.
It takes a village.
The six members who have graciously come together as the executive community to bring this venture alive have donated hundreds of hours of time, leveraged their resources, and collaborated to create a unique vision that will serve the Bow Valley for years to come. I want to thank you for your endless work, your guidance and your dedication to bring the Bow Valley Chamber of Commerce alive.
With great pleasure I would like to share with you the press release which went out this morning:
